Pure class with a touch of drama.
Badgley Mischka’s Fall 2020 New York Fashion Week Show was nothing short of all things prim and proper. British influence, noted!
What truly elevated the art here, however, was the added flair. The light inside of women is literally and figuratively featured through the details of light reflection.

By the powers of metallics and sparkle, Badgley Mischka had an “I am woman, hear me roar” moment.

It is as if modern royalty was the theme of the show, the perfect combination of chic and tasteful glamour were exhibited consistently throughout the show. Embellished neutrals, rich textures, and just the right amount of ornate touches were head turners.

It girl Serena van der Woodsen of Gossip Girl would have a field day with this collection, it has metallics, sparkling textures, geographically sophisticated designs, and pure magic that radiates from the pieces. It nods to a conservative, high society look, there are plenty of chic coats, gowns, suits, and outerwear that further heightens the elegance of these outfits.
Badgley Mischka crafted a high tone celebrity chic look that could fit an apparent range of professional settings or social events. The modern and classic aspects of each piece combine and flourish so perfectly together to make slightly conservative pieces a thing of the present, something that women could wear and feel fabulous in, while upholding a look that demands respect.

Overall, the metallics, sparkles, and ornate elements add spice to the pieces and perhaps the message here is to confirm that women can have fun with conservative wear. Within the ornateness of the pieces there is simultaneously a respect for the classics.
Whites, blacks neutrals, reds and metallics are heightened by the accessorizations, but make no mistake, they are the foundation perhaps speaking to the stability and consistency that women offer to society.
Badgley Mischka created a line that celebrates feminine, chic boss women, perhaps representing women on a mission and looking glamorous while setting off to conquer the day. There is a serious element to the art, but an added fun twist reminds us not to take life so seriously, a reminder to become lighter in our minds, bodies, and souls as we trek through life.

The metallics, sparkles, jewels, added fabrics, and patterned imagery to the clothes stand out the most as a theme, making it easy to envision royalty wearing a Badgley Mischka creation. Shoulder embellishments may serve as a message for women to stand tall and go confidently.

Are they encouraging women to embrace femininity amongst men? To quit hiding but rather celebrate the flair that women bring to the table?

Golds and reds symbolize power, opulence, and magic. Badgley Mischka exhibited versatility in meaning and function of the garb.
Badgley Mischka could very well be suggesting that we bask in the glitz and glam of womanhood, to have fun with the most proper and serious of times, and to add our sparkle to the world as well as embrace our own inner light.
